Nothing new on this Bandcamp Friday but I still wanted to draw your attention to a release I love that I finally have the rights to. One of my faves and it's name your price like the majority of my stuff

Glad to hear. Its a shame cause that label kinda went bust and no one got paid and i still cant sell them on my own
Oldie but a goodie. Thanks!!
I am being interviewed by the moderator of the Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett Facebook group on how Barrett achieved his sound using the Binson Echorec. I'm trying to help determine if recent unearthed sound is indeed Syd's playing. This may be the nerdiest thing I have ever done
Thank you! A great compliment. I study this stuff pretty closely.
Good advice
Thanks!!
I would love to get some label interested in giving this album a home
Been hard going but this really is a super heavy kosmische record. We are very proud of it
enjoy!
This kinda thing has helped my playing a bunch
looks nifty
You like Popol Vuh?
You play guitar?
Well, you might enjoy these Popol Vuh loops I made to practice over.
Fun stuff.

i do know that. i couldnt resist the image :-)
I have a long history with Prog so i know the feeling
this was me until yesterday...
Thanks for all the recommends. I keep hearing good things about Muriel Grossman
thanks Dan!
thanks!! on the list
thanks! just obtained
Jazz
I think i get it now.
It was my first real guitar, and I still play my Squier that I bought new in 87
That's a good tip..I'm teaching myself theory now and I can hear some of these things for the first time
I think at the end of it all that's what I want. A vertical setup where you can explore and evolve but it's not jarring. Thanks for this insight!
Modal jazz
Give me your recommendations.
I am a jazz ignoramus
Trying to enhance my knowledge of modes. So classic stuff is fine. Not too outside. More linear, not playing over lots of changes.
Deeper and more focused, the better. Feel free to treat me as a novice cause I am.
Thank you!
all amps are gonna work with a pedal board but both a Yamaha THR5 10-watt & a Boss Katana should show off your pedals. If you want more old school tube that you can mic later on that sounds great, try a Fender 5w tube amp. The prices range a lot, but you will have it the rest of your playing days
i feel like they really did invent something new. it leaned on things that had gone before but that "Hauntology" vibe was really something they sparked i think. Then Broadcast moved it to a slightly different place. This is where you need a pro like @simonreynolds.bsky.social to explain.
thanks!!
Thanks for being on the right side of history :-)
I like giving interviews and its always a treat when someone asks me. Just did one for 3rd Eye Psych Rock about why i kinda dont like Psych Rock, if effects pedals make you pretentious, & are Boards Of Canada more psych then Kikagaku Moyo (hint...yes)

i echo what @themodernfolk.bandcamp.com says. The right personalized email in the right hands is super important
Im not sure that standard PR even works anymore
thanks for saying!
Yeah! Thanks. It can get kinda wild when it's tuned just right
