There's a statement from elections alberta (EA) in this CBC post to the effect that EA has ltd enforcement powers.
Not so. EA has significant enforcement powers under the Citizen Initiative Act (see Part 6) in relation to initiative votes.

We can't even rely on the RCMP to protect us from this. IIRC, during the course of this "investigation", 2 RCMP investigators left their interview recorders at the home of Kenney's hatchet man. For days. Exposing everyone they interviewed to the worst possible enemy.

You also made the point that the knowledge is disappearing, with scientists getting assassinated for years, and layers of senior management wiped out this week.
Israel has also been assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists for years. And created the Stuxnet computer virus (possibly in partnership with the Americans) in 2010 to sabotage Iran's uranium enrichment centrifuges at the Natanz facility. Obviously this did not end Iran’s ambitions. Similarly, US President Trump argued that he had completely obliterated Iran’s weapons program in June 2025. The fact that Israel/US had to attack again in February 2026 showed that Iran’s facilities were not obliterated and it was still pursuing nuclear weapons.
Thank you Dr Bratt, respect as always. However, the logic of this sentence doesn't stand up. The US/Israel attack does not prove Iran was still pursuing nuclear weapons.
