I have had my solar PV system 10 years in April. With incentives in place in 2016, it paid for itself in 4.2 years. Has saved me $7.4K in avoided electricity costs @ $0.10/KWh and now I am using it to charge my new 2026 IONIQ 5 for free. Life is good.

I charge mine at home with my solar system for free. Either directly during the day or at night using my banked net metered credits. If I run out of those, not likely, we only pay $0.10/KWh

Last I checked, most Tesla charging stations are charging $0.70/KWh. Not cheap
