I know a lot of people are freaking out about an executive order about voting, so I will remind everyone:
1) It is very illegal and would not survive even this SCOTUS
2) If it happens anyway, it's strike/riot time because the democratic process is the only excuse for not having already done so.

It has been said that Richard Nixon watched The Day After.
It impressed him so much that he initiated the Red Phone line to Moscow and started exploring arms reduction agreements with the Russians.
But my recollections of those days are probably muddled.
Moscow may not be the direct target but radiation fallout travels thousands of miles, wherever the wind blows.
You may not remember the Chernobyl disaster. It was tiny compared to a nuclear bomb but the fallout stretched to Denmark.
