Maybe there’s and exception! Maybe something I’m not considering. Maybe it’s complicated. Whatever. Maybe though if you have firepower to eliminate civilization you aren’t the little guy and nobody is bullying you and if you feel otherwise you need to rethink why you are so stupid and racist

We went to a large Baptist church that Bill Clinton visited whenever he was in Little Rock. I’d find out it was a president day when the metal detectors were set up outside “big church”. My friends and I would be like “ok but if we had a nuclear bomb over in Sunday school they’d never find it!”

If they push a long narrative, why stop at 50?! What about the 1953 CIA coup, or the 1901 D’Arcy oil concession, or the various British, French, German, and Austrian concessions in the 1850-70s on extracting resources, printing their currency, running banks? The overwhelming majority of Zionists in the world today are Christians who believe the end of the Jews (and Arabs, Iranians) is near, by death, hell, or conversion. It’s not great they have weapons to effectuate that theological fantasy (or is it the other way around?)

I was in Israel in 2015 when the Iran nuclear agreement was announced. I recall talking to a student who felt certain that deal would let Iran secretly build nukes and wipe out Israel, or lead to war. I wonder if he’s reconsidered or, more likely, anything happening later is retroactive confirmation
