I think people have witnessed Ukrainians taking a whole of society approach to countering Shaheds and thought that this shit was easy. It is not, Ukrainians are surviving through immense hardships because they have to. There is not other choice for them.
An image of the center of a planetary nebula (the Cat's Eye Nebula). A blue star sits at the center within a series of overlapping, translucent bubbles of gas. The bubbles have a complex, filamentary structure. The two largest bubbles overlap halfway, creating an eye-like shape with the star at the center. Jets of high-speed gas point out of the top and bottom of the nebula. Faint, concentric circles of gas also surround the star, out beyond the bubbles.

Fuck. You.
For example, if we measured the economic loss of shutting down the Middle East, as well as the amount of money we are currently spending to maintain the AirPower we have in the region, you’d find that the cost is far far higher than “We HiT 200 TaRgEtS”

It is a skill issue. They’ve known for a few years now that it’s a problem. They do have new training and exercises trying to build up the skill set. Including bringing Ukrainian forces over to do instruction. They are still woefully behind. www.army.mil/article/2907...
2 is kinda fun to watch just for the uniqueness. I think it had potential.
One encouraging theme in last night's NC primaries is the simple fact that being pro-trans is now like being anti-ICE among Dem voters: to them, it means you're a fighter, it means you're not giving into Trump.
That's a really, really good sign.
The girls’ school in Iran, where 165 people were killed by an apparent US-Israeli attack, was hit with two strikes, with the second missile killing sheltering survivors, two first responders and the parent of a slain child have told Middle East Eye.

don't think this administration (in uniform and out) has really come to grips (i think some are starting to sweat it) that the longer this goes on the more likely it goes very, very bad—but they have no obvious off ramp and a lead partner who desperately wants *no offramps*
This entire administration is somehow worse than the Its Always Sunny gang

Biden did give funding and arms, albeit not enough, trump/republicans stopped shipments for an entire year and would do far more damage if they had the political capital to do so

Here's a rock on Mars photographed yesterday.
If it helps, there has been some momentum among progressives here to increase funding and arms to Ukraine, so post midterms that may be coming
But yeah … right now my country is run by ghouls, rapists and sociopaths who should be spending the rest of their lives rotting in a prison cell
