Seeing this, our place in the vast universe, how can we not love our earth and love each other?

Everybody needs to hear this! Every child is somebody!!
Join the fight to stand up for science. If not for yourself then for your children and your children’s children, we must create a better world based on evidence and science!

The problem is that these men want our daughters to be watching. They want to keep us scared and afraid to speak. Misogyny is about fear.
All of us must stand up for science!! Our futures and our children’s futures depend on it!!
We are traumatizing our children. How can we live with ourselves?
Standing up for science means more than words. It takes action and action takes funds. Just like we depend on funds to support our research, we need funds to support the larger mission. I stand up for science in word and deed.
Let’s think about putting this together. I can think of a few people who might be good to get on board…
Thank you Ira for keeping this history alive. I studied history of psychology with Mary Henley at the New School, originally founded by exiled social scientists. We must never forget.
When any one of us are on the list, we are all on the list.
At the end of the day, we will be happier if we err on the side of compassion. No one ever really knows what someone has been going through. Especially as educators, we must allow our students the grace to find their voice.
And if you gave your ticket you’ll get into heaven!
Love this!! Our seemingly most human tendencies to teach and socialize our young have long evolutionary roots. Thanks @irahyman.bsky.social

Silencing science means silencing our future. Funding science means finding cures, helping our children live longer happier lives, and creating caring communities. Scientists must not stay silent! @standupforscience.bsky.social
So-called “soft skills” include knowing how to ask a question, figure out how to answer it, gather the appropriate sources, analyze the information and decide on a viable answer and plan, almost always in collaboration with others. This is the heart of a liberal arts education, whatever your major.
A brilliant account of just a few things scientific research has accomplished through federal funding to make all our lives better! @standupforscience.bsky.social
