I like the spirit of what you're saying here. But the truth is of course trees compete. They compete fiercely for sun, soil, water, everything they need to grow. Many, in fact most, don't make it. That's the way nature works. It's just not manufactured competition. It's survival.
I did not know how to comment on this post when I shared it. I'm just learning how to negotiate Bluesky. But I'll Soya now that I am SO excited to read this book by one of my favorite writers whose books are always important, poetic, insightful, and lend meaning to my world (and the world).
