My niece visited my father at the Putnam County Community Center to perform holiday songs on the harp for senior luncheon.
Lego is a holiday tradition. Got a mini build with two tiny knights and their tiny castles from the missus.
Researching and thinking about goblins as the choice villains they are for your tabletop roleplaying games. My web search led me back to this piece I wrote for Kobold Press 11 years ago! Roasty Toasty makes an intriguing foe worthy of adventurers. koboldpress.com/goblins-of-m...
Gamers. Steven Winter's latest installment of the Howling Tower is great for rpg world-builders and character-builders alike. The charts on history, society and secrets have amazing utility. It's worth looking at: koboldpress.com/howling-towe...

I've got a new product up at DriveThruRPG; Beasties at Breakfast is a Black Flag RPG version of my Saturday morning no-prep approach our favorite fantasy rpg. It's a good quick way to get that dungeon exploration kick while having a roll and coffee.

Sounds like something mom would say is in a "ball free zone" when dad and us kids' indoor football and basketball games spilled out from the TV room into the dining area.

Folks over at Kobold Press have been sharing lots of free gaming goodies during this Advent season ... and this little item is downright wicked fun. "Earth to earth" indeed for unfortunate creatures that Cathria's Bloom takes root in.
Clear skies in NW IL. But it's also below freezing. What little snow we have ain't going anywhere.

Just finished 2018's "First in Line," a look at the modern vice presidency. Really exceptionally sourced. Biggest takeaway is the role Carter-Mondale played in redefining the vice presidency. The brief glimpse at Pence's role under Trump really foreshadows Jan. 6.
