Later, Dorian ends up putting together a memorial for both Arlen's parents as the two are separated. He tells Arlen that his mother would be proud of the man he has become and this finally puts Arlen at ease. 💚

Arlen kept his origin a secret from Dorian till he was in recovery from losing his arm. Through Arlen's heroism he inspired Dorian to be a better person and to put forth an effort to change the broken system of his home.

As for Dorian, him falling for the inquisitor is a scandal in itself. He chose to put his family behind him in pursuit of happiness but still battles with if it was the right thing to do.

He harbors a lot of guilt for falling for Dorian, an altus mage from a prominent family that owns slaves. While nothing stops him in his pursuit his mother is always in the back of his mind. Would she condemn him? Would she understand that Dorian makes him happy?
