Proof of life? I keep forgetting I have bsky sometimes, but I'm still reading feeds every now and then. New job started beginning of August so my brain is soaking up all the things.

Tomorrow I'm going to see Halestorm and Volbeat through the generosity of good friends. This will be my celebration for having gotten out of retail pharmacy (even though I have one day left to work at ex-job). I can't quite believe I really made it out. New path starts Monday!

Okay. Now that I have relayed info where it was important:

I have officially accepted a position at Augusta Health Inpatient Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. I am very excited about starting a new phase in my career and learning new things!

Finished my first Virus Shawl today. Yarn from Hobbii is Twister in the Storm Chaser colorway worked on a US 6/4mm hook.

Very very tempting to try and come up with the $164 to go see Stray Kids in June and lean a little on my growing mobility issues (hip, knees, and back).

Just like that *snaps fingers*, another fresh paycheck lands and is gone. I'm getting tired of just existing.

Things were supposed to start getting easier this year. As it is I'm not making any ends meet and there's nothing left over. It's getting harder and harder to try.

My main fursona is a cat-dragon, half Siamese cat, half silver dragon. She evolved from just being a silver dragon originally because I fell in love with them in D&D and their shapeshifting ability. Sometimes that comes out in my fursona as she may temporarily adopt wings or go quadrupedal(hepta?).

Reading and studying is not cultural appropriation. It would only be appropriation if you were trying to adopt cultural aspects of Buddhism without giving credit or respect to Buddhist cultures (of which there are quite a few).

So nice to see that my employer thinks I should be making $41K a year... but I barely pulled in $34K this past year. That $7K difference is purely an hours game and there is no way for me to be guaranteed the 40 hours a week needed to make that a reality.

Someone mentioned the General Strike to me today along with a link to sign up for a strike card.

I wish I could afford to do that, but right now one day missed at work could mean several bills don't get paid.

I don't have the luxury. I will support those who do.

I really didn't want to hope too hard on the last job I interviewed for, but it seemed to go so well. Only upside is that I wasn't left hanging for weeks without an update. I just feel kinda lost again and like the pool of available job options keeps shrinking on me daily.

Made it through the weekend. Now to watch the weather so I can gauge my chances of making it to a job interview on Wednesday. :P

So nice to see that the separation of Church and State is going right out the window along with everything else.
