Honestly, I would pull this out of the mailbox, take it inside, sit down, and read it.

Youโre welcome, Nick! Thanks for illuminating the themes of that book that often get lost in adaptation. The ghost attached to the safe straining to help the mom in the doorway is an image that has stayed with me ever since I first read it!
โThe holiday season may be over, but the lessons of A Christmas Carol are evergreen. No war but class war!โ

Thanks for sharing my analysis of A Christmas Carol, the original novel by Charles Dickens! ๐
A Christmas Carol, the original novel, was more radical than its adaptations may have led you to believe. Charles Dickens depicted Ebenezer Scrooge as not just a greedy man but part of a larger system of economic injustice.
I wrote about this on Substack, also diving into the Muppets and Red Sonja.
At SNL I worked with artists who made the funniest, stupidest graphics in no time flat. Some of my biggest jokes would have been impossible without these geniuses building an insane image or finding the perfect real-life photo of a politician. Sucks that their work is being pushed aside for slop.
garbage
In my latest Substack article, I reported on ComicBooks for Kids (CB4K), highlighting their origin story in 2017, comic artist Art Baltazarโs involvement and Zone Comics & Games in Homewood, ILโs early support for the charity.
It would appear I have shit in the corn flakes of the universe today.
The second you put a fictional character above a real human being, YOU are the problem. Theres no ifs, buts or ands about it.
Not happy with what you read, fair enough, critique of the work is fine. Threaten a real human being over it? YOU ARE ONCE AGAIN THE PROBLEM.
See how that works?

โItโs creepy, twisted, beautiful, sexy, creative, heartwarming, heartbreaking, tragic and thought-provoking.โ
Long live, horror comics.
Letโs IMAGINE you heard that millions of people in France wanted their Prime Minister dead. And the Prime Minister was posting epic memes online, โtrollingโ millions of his own citizens.
Now imagine youโre a world leader who doesnโt have this issue at all. Do you respect him?
You: Millions of Trumpโs own people want him dead. He spends his time going online, โtrollingโ like a 14 y.o., calling them idiots and making fun of them.
Also, you: Other world leaders respect him and arenโt laughing at him. Heโs actually MORE respected than other presidents without this problem.
Thereโs nothing to โexplainโ. Youโre believing two completely contradictory things at the same time. Itโs almost as if youโre in a cult
At least if the โpplโ youโre talking about are Americans, the very people sheโd be representing as a world leader
Yes. Obviously
You think America is having a mental health crisis and millions of Trumpโs own people are unstable fuckers who want him to dead. And other countries wouldnโt laugh at him for that?
You think millions of the people Trump is supposed to be leading are unstable fuckers. But other countries wouldnโt laugh at him for that?
If you believed millions of Americans wanted Trump dead, why would it matter if millions also supported him?
Most world leaders donโt actually have that problem. Only those leading the most unstable countries.
You say โmillions of liberalsโ but to other countries this means โmillions of Americansโ
Thatโs not how that works. Every leader throughout history, even the most unpopular ones, has had a good number of supporters. Do you believe that no world leader had ever been laughed at by other world leaders before?
โThe world isnโt laughing at Trump and Vance. Millions of his own people want them dead!โ
Do you not hear yourself?
The entire โjokeโ is just โhaha, this makes millions of my own citizens mad,โ right?
Why wouldnโt world leaders laugh at Trump if he himself is laughing at millions of the people heโs representing?
So now heโs just making jokes? You said he was intentionally riling up millions of his own citizens because he think theyโre idiots.
Heโs going to another country to represent America.
Right after going online to โtrollโ millions of his own citizens to entertain you because you think theyโre idiots
You canโt be a good clown and a respected world leader. These are two very different job descriptions.
Respected world leaders donโt โtrollโ their idiot citizens online.
You canโt have it both ways. Either Trump is respected around the globe or youโre literally proud of him being a clown.
This is why the world is laughing at America. The Vice President of the United States thinks itโs appropriate to go on social media and โtrollโ American citizens he thinks are โidiots.โ What a clown show.
But anyway, this is clearly a video thatโs trying to make it look like it would be cool if Trump were a king. Thatโs why he pulled out the sword like this was Lord of the Rings.
Even if this were true, it still isnโt good. If you believe millions of Americans are too dense to understand sarcasm, maybe the Vice President shouldnโt โsarcasticallyโ announce that his boss is a monarchist.
Theyโre public servants. Their job isnโt to entertain The Wahbulence on BlueSky.
