I’ve been asked if I would support Sen. Mullin as Noem’s replacement.
The answer is a resounding NO. The rot in DHS is deep, much deeper than any individual.
It’s a question of policy not personnel. The Senate should not consider any DHS Secretary nominee until DHS and ICE are reined in.
So few Americans realize that the political apathy conversation is directly related to the voter suppression conversation, which is directly related to the structural anti-Blackness question. So instead we just go, "Why don't THOSE dummies vote?!?".
Just to sum things up …. The Big Bill took Healthcare and Food assistance away from people who need it and gave the largest tax cut to the ultra wealthy .. but we have a trillion to the Defense department and over 100 billion for ICE …. 🤔. We suck
See how vigorously Trump's mob opposes any regulation of ICE at all. If they put on masks, a gang can violate our Constitution any time it wants to? No need for warrants? Can just grab people w/o cause? Can even kill citizens & face no judge or jury. We need a "well regulated" ICE.

Breaking News: The House blocked a measure seeking to limit President Trump’s war powers in Iran, in a mostly party-line vote.
Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and it’s good she’s gone.
But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
Congress needs to end this illegal war.
