Update: Bumi has peacefully passed. His ashes will go towards helping grow future coral reefs. I will miss my boy so much. He brought us and so many people joy. Thank y'all for loving Bumi as much as we did. ❤️

After 15 years and 4,000 videos, Bumi will be retiring on Monday. It wasn't an easy decision to make, but he has begun to suffer in his old age. He touched the hearts of millions of people online, and tens of thousands at in person events. It's time that he finally gets some rest.

My absolute unit Bumi is still going strong. @jwodesigns.bsky.social & I adopted him from a rescue. Previously belonged to a military family in Okinawa & been abused. His heart started failing & the vet said he had 6 weeks to live... 4 years ago! He has defied all odds and is now 15

Mr. Bumi! He is 15 with a heart condition, deaf, can't see too good, and has arthritis in his hips. The vet said he only had 6 months left to live... 4 years ago!
He is a very good and handsome boy ❤️
