My quick opinion on Stephen King online fandom from what I've seen browsing Tumblr and Reddit for six months: it's strange how his output of work spans decades but fan art/fic is small in comparison. I see tattoos frequently and that's cool, and I consider any level of artistic skill as fanart if a person cares about what they've created enough to share with others. Sometimes people share craft projects and it's very cute to me. Do King fans typically just not enjoy creating fan work. There's lots of Long Walk yaoi that emerged when the movie came out but that's mostly localized on Tumblr/ao3. I know that girls and lgbt persons typically create and maintain activity in fandoms but it's whack King has been writing since the 70s. I feel like Shake telling frylock he should play with toys. Men should play with shipping it's fun.
This is a mess but these are my thoughts King fans should draw their favorite characters and show me please. Please. I'm starving.
