An immigrant from Ghana in 2003, Rubby is truly a shining example of Black excellence and the American Dream. Although I couldn't be at the State House to congratulate her in person, I am so proud that she calls Shrewsbury her home.

It is not our goal to eliminate online gambling in Massachusetts, but betting platforms must operate on a level playing field and under a robust set of laws that are designed to defend Bay Staters from addiction, illicit business practices, and other drawbacks of these technologies.

Right now, there are no regulations protecting our elections in November.
2026 is an election year, and we're already seeing campaigns use AI-generated pictures and videos to mislead voters. I secured an amendment in 2024 that banned the use of generated content to fool Bay Staters in the leadup to the election – but that protection expired after results were finalized.
