AI has me rethinking my projects portfolio should be.

I should not be receiving βStill thinking about it..?β Emails from a company when I received an email βorder placedβ 5 minutes prior.
Question is, when will investors want their money back? 2031 time horizon seems too far off.
Dual OLEDs!
Obligatory Zelda OOT pic
I found this gem: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_...
Obviously a kids game. But the simplicity, whimsy and lightheartedness is refreshing.
Finally got my Ayn Thor. Itβs been great getting to replay games that defined my childhood. No multiplayer, no online notifications, achievements, in game micro transactions. Itβs quite freeing.
I found electrical tape to be very effective to hold them in place!
First time soldering. It took a while, but it all works as expected
A picture of my catβs βtoysβ. A plastic ball, foam insert, and AirPods on the carpet with cats legs walking out of frame.
Every day my cat hides my AirPods somewhere. Today, they were underneath the couch alongside two of his other favorite toys.
If the AirPods didnβt have find my support, I would never see them again
2026 Goals / Themes

What I've been able to come up with using Skeleton UI. (Unfortunately, yarr is already taken :/.. Naming is hard)
Hey Jake Tapper, fodder for your next book!π
I am thoroughly enjoying learning SvelteKit! (AI helped me get here) I think next I'm going to try a UI library like Skeleton to give the frontend a go on my own.
Using AI at work, I've had to really be thoughtful with the prompts/information I feed it. Without me explaining proper context and follow up information it simply can't do what I ask of it.
At this point, AI still needs skilled operators to know what to ask/evaluate if what it says is valid.
Whoops, forgot to post the video
A sand crab standing on the sand with waves crashing a short distance behind it.
A sand crab standing ontop of the sand.
A sand crab leaves its hole carrying sand. It moves away from the hole throwing the sand down.
Iβve been mesmerized by sand crabs all vacation
I finally found a side programming project to work on that is engaging to work on, will help me learn a ton, and( if I finish it) could be a a cool contribution to the self hosting community. π¬
Woah!!!!
I ended up doing this. I couldnβt be happier with the end result. My PC is in a fractal ridge. Temps are phenomenal. Iβve had zero problems with system stability.
Finally got around to playing and finishing Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
Withholding one gripe, the story was fantastic. The game felt less linear than the first.
I wish the PC port wasnβt so terrible. It kept me from wanting to do side quests/extras. I only played through the main story.
@jakebaldino.com do you know of any video games like βThe Notebookβ side story?
I havenβt found any. Being Split Fiction is a love letter to video games, Iβd have to think thereβs SOMETHING out there like it!
Strong agree. I think an over reliance on AI is net bad. We as a society may have easily accessible surface level knowledge. AI summarizes take away the need for deep understanding. Which I think is a skill we shouldnβt lose.
First cake Iβve baked from scratch. It tastes sooooooo good π
Well, its finally time that I make the jump into Nix.

Seriously considering converting my desktop into a small form factor HTPC running @bazzite.gg. I've been doing most of my gaming on the couch with sunshine/moonlight anyways.
Really cool website I found: canyoublockit.com.
Itβll test your Adblock. I found it useful in testing my PiHole setup running on my Tailscale Tailnet
