A quick visit to the Paris #Herbarium. Sampling #Annonaceae specimens, doing some good old taxonomy and using Near Infra Red Scanning NIRs on leaves to test if we can use that to ID species. Flower of #Fenerivia oligosperma, endemic to #Madagascar. @mnhn.fr @ird-fr.bsky.social

Phylogenomics of the large clade of flowering plants called Magnoliids. This clade includes species like Magnolia, avocado, peper, nutmeg and of course #Annonaceae!
