Working class people especially NYCHA residents (largest public housing development in Brooklyn) spent thousands of dollars a year in check cashing fees and ATM fees because they did not have a bank to go to. For years entrepreneurs, small businesses, & non-profits did not have accessible banking.
It was an honor leading this project under Senator Gounardes’ leadership & vision.
