Spring cleanup season is here. π±
Teams across the city took time today picking up litter and helping refresh neighborhoods as part of todayβs citywide cleanup effort. Keeping Columbus clean takes all of us, and weβre proud to do our part.

We also had the honor of celebrating Brandan Hayes as the Patrick L. Eiden Young Engineer of the Year, recognizing his outstanding work and dedication to the field.

In honor of Ohio Loves Transit Week and #BlackHistoryMonth, we're showcasing Elijah McCoy, who invented an automatic engine lubricator used for trains and other heavy equipment. Previously, engines had to be stopped before necessary lubrication could be applied.
Partnership pays off! DPS has a salt exchange plan with local municipalities. Our salt barns allow us to hold excess salt, so when others need more, we have their back. Then when snow covers the streets, they have specific plow routes they assist us with.

Now THAT'S a LOT of snow! Crews have been hauling excess snow out of downtown since Monday, one block at a time. This is the first time we've had to haul snow since 2008!
