When I first read the quote, I thought she was talking about how one comes to terms with their own mortality and inevitable demise.

I was thinking this morning about how important it is to fully understand the requirements of a job before you accept an offer. What are the duties? Can you carry them out? If you find yourself constitutionally unable to fulfill the very most basic functions, maybe it's not the right job for you.

Yes, the metaphors are a little on the unsubtle side, and I think that's fine. It is a Marvel movie, after all. I applaud the creative team for making this movie, and I hope people see it. And I hope they talk to each other about it.
