In sixth form we went on at outdoor camp week type thing with kayaking and stuff, up on the Moors. There was a primary school from the outskirts of Scarborough there at the same time... Including kids who'd never seen the sea 😥 so heartbreaking

Seems mad, but as a fan of "crispiness" in fabrics, line drying is the decisive factor, age of clothes is largely irrelevant. If anything, towels get crispier as the fluff is gradually washed away?

I did a degree in French and German and got taught throughout by proper serious linguists. When I learnt Flemish (in BXL) in my twenties, the language school teacher was a former pro footballer! His knees had gone, so he just retrained. Legend. But, ja, hoor, it is not the *most* serious language 😜
