putting "Carter is sleeping in a pile of vomit and rice under the stove" as text on the screen just isn't as funny as me saying it

I want to make my silly rimworld game into a funny video but it's really difficult to get snappy comedy without a voice over... MacinTalk Junior just doesn't have the same punch (and cannot pronounce "horses")
If anything, I'm even more convinced that my literal only real world skill (archiving stuff) is vital to a functional society, but Big Archive already bought in to the grift so not even that matters now
the genAI people have been saying the whole world is about to completely change for like three years now, but so far I'm just a lot more annoyed
Why βͺ@why.bsky.teamβ¬ Until December of last year I was using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding. It was nice for scaffolding out boilerplate, or giving me a gut check on some things, or banging out some boring routine stuff. In the past two months Claude has written about 99% of my code. Things are changing. Fast
in case you ever wondered why bsky breaks all the fuckin time and is increasingly a pile of jank

people are pointing out that because Jimmy's name is not in red, he is likely in a caravan with the horses. actually, raider names turns from red to white when they decide collectively to retreat - the horses just continue to follow the attack command anyway because they do not recognize surrender
I really like how rimworld places an absurd amount of value on books. A book is considered an exotic good, is as valuable or more valuable than some firearms, and is sometimes a reward for completing an entire quest. Hold on we're getting attacked by robots again
faction is called The Horse Girls and our settlement is Ocala
the colony went on a caravan adventure to pick up a novel that was in a glacier and got ambushed by a gun robot but the horses beat it to death before it even fired. we're bringing the novel home so they can all read it
they like water, like marshes and springs. I would look on inaturalist for nature preserves and stuff

seeing internet book drama unfold is like watching a flaming steam engine plummet down a mountain from atop a different mountain
multiple versions of book were printed, people ordered paperback version which sold out, and there was also hardback version which did not sell out. they never did a second (?) print run of the paperbacks, so some people still do not have book, but company retains a big pile of hardbacks? I think
I need an ibuprofen
user posts: "Genuine question but shouldnβt the remaining physical copies be given to people who ordered those copies back in 2025? Instead of being sold to new customers?" reply: "There are not enough of them to cover all the outstanding preorders. That said, if someone wanted a book instead of a refund, I don't see why not. ~Elrose"
...could someone unpack this scenario for me? people accepted money for pre-orders of a book, company did not sell at least 200+ copies of the book, cancelled the re-release of the book entirely, and have now... decided to sell those 200 books, even though some people have still not received a book
ritalin? idk. it took me something like 10 years to find one that really worked and I still don't have consistent access
four pixel art sprites of a green amphiptere (winged snake) creature in the style of the original pokemon

I've seen them around San Felasco park, it technically closes at night but you can kind of hang around the entrance gate and still see them around
oooh wait "grotto" gives me an idea, I should see if I can get some limestone boulders. I bet they would like that
I'm thinking about going somewhere that still has fireflies, scooping up a lot of leaf litter, and dumping it around the wildlife pond to see if they like my yard enough yet
Big Lawn wants you to forget about firefly season. don't forget about firefly season
March is supposed to be the start of firefly season in Florida, if Florida even cares...
I thought businesses wanted to have a few sickies mixed in there so they could get some kind of diversity brownie points, but I guess DEI is illegal now or whatever
I guess technically they might expect me to at some point use some kind of digging machine, but like... they are literally designed to be operated by humans
yeah I don't know who they expect to apply to this thing honestly
I'm exactly the same person you've already said no to twice, but uhhh yeah my autism got better
Is it because I clicked yes on the voluntary disability admission thing? I could lie
I got an ad from the pond cleaning service for the same job opening again. I could apply to this job for a third time
This disability can disable
I really need to schedule an appointment with my doctor to get a refill of my executive dysfunction meds, but doing so requires a phone call, and just thinking about making a phone call makes me shrivel up like SpongeBob licking the can of snail food
