Australia has an opportunity to get out of AUKUS. We should take it.

We ask the Albanese Government to prioritise Australia's interests and security, and to join the UK and the US Governments in undertaking an independent parliamentary inquiry into AUKUS.

The same week the Albanese Government joins a war, they cancelled one of the major transparency measures in Defense.

Albanese has now admitted that Australians were onboard the US nuclear sub that sank an Iranian vessel and left the crew to drown, in a violation of international law. This was always an inevitability of AUKUS. End AUKUS now.

US Calls Iranian Retaliatory Strikes "Unprovoked", And Other Notes Reading by Tim Foley:

Only the United States could bomb a country, kill its leader, massacre its children, declare the intention to destroy its military and topple its government, and then call that country’s retaliation against US military bases “unprovoked”.

The government claimed it was monitoring dodgy job service providers using an app. It doesn't exist 'What this exposes is just how little the department is prepared to do, even after two bootings from the Ombudsman.'

I'm at it again: great ontological debate about welfare 'compliance' app govt told Ombudsman it built to monitor dodgy job service providers but which doesn't exist. No documents point to it. Instead they use 'existing processes'. And haven't they been so effective. www.crikey.com.au/2026/02/27/r...

Political illustration of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese seated inside a car, pointing and speaking dismissively. Through the car window behind him are protest signs reading “Declare recognition of the State of Palestine,” “Cancel the weapons contracts,” “Sanction Israel,” “Expel the ambassador,” and “Back the ICJ case against Israel,” with Parliament House visible in the background. Albanese wears US and Israeli flag pins on his lapel. A speech bubble from him reads: “Yeah ok, I get it… genocide, but please! We have some social cohesion to focus on here!”

The language of “social cohesion” was never neutral. It was a calculated, callous move to silence dissent on Palestine. You can keep it. Decent Australians demand justice, international law upheld, and an end to our complicity with a rogue apartheid state committing genocide.

Debate on #Insiders over govt spending. No mention of $Bs spent on subsidising jobs in the UK and USA through the utter stupidity that is AUKUS. Building homes for the US military while Aussies sleep on the street is political and economic madness.

Criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu may be an offence under Australia’s new hate speech laws, Greens warn Anthony Albanese and Tony Burke say the laws are needed to protect Australians – particularly the Jewish community

So by expressing my view and saying that the Israeli Govt under Benjamin Netanyahu is committing a genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza - then under these new hate laws - I may be subject to criminal charges? Is this right? #auspol > www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Revealed: Australian taxpayers subsidising the IDF, illegal settlements in Israel - Michael West Australian taxpayers are subsidising the Israel Defense Forces and illegal settlements in the West Bank via the ACNC charities regulator

In Australia, the government will allow tax-deductible donations to charities supporting the IDF and illegal settlements in the West Bank.

But donations to local journalism are not permitted the same status.

ABC's coverage of this bill is moronic. Nothing of substance about democracy and fascism. Focused only on individuals bickering inside the Coalition and what that means for the pointless horse race. We are so poorly served. Need Al Jazeera to start doing domestic Ausopl coverage

The hate groups provisions in the hate speech bill are deeply flawed. They still exclude advocating genocide from the definition of hate crimes, and they will be open to misuse to target peaceful activist groups because of political influence. They shouldn't be passed into law in their current form.

Lol. A “peace board” where the only thing missing is anyone who might disturb the whole vibe by being affected.

No women. No Palestinians. No Arabs. No Muslims.

Peace, apparently. Just very conveniently and selectively distributed.

Why does the MSM keep seeking commentary from a man who was sacked from his position as Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs for breaching the public service code of conduct more than 14 times and was stripped of his AO as a result?

As of right now folks dealing with bushfires/recovery can have their Centrelink payment stopped for not doing forced activities that are useless at the best of times, even if the reason is because their provider is unable to do something.

More great stuff from Minister Rishworth & her department 👍
