It has been a tremendous privilege to mentor them in Java programming and witness their journey - from writing their first lines of code (Hello, World!) to designing, building, and programming a robot capable of autonomous functions and manual control to compete in this past weekend's games.
In a few short months, this exceptional group of students spent their Friday mornings building a fully functioning robot from the ground up.
So incredibly proud of my mentees on the Legacy High School for special needs NYC FIRST FTC Team, who competed in NYC Qualifier 6 and earned the Judges' Choice Award!
