Portents nowadays are hella easy - grift, suffering, and conflict are status quo, no blood moon required!
That said I'd love to catch one of these (outside of wildfire season)!

NEW: Ukrainian deminers are deploying drones to clear the remnants of Russia's full-scale invasion — protecting communities and reclaiming land.

That's freaking dope!
It's all about priorities. Save people's lives, or get places faster
As a professional military strategist, I just wanted to make sure everyone has a full understanding of the American strategy in Iran, thank you for your attention to this matter

Trump: "The Leftwing nut jobs at Anthropic have made a DISASTROUS MISTAKE trying to STRONG-ARM the Department of War, and force them to obey their Terms of Service instead of our Constitution"

Trump’s pick to lead the BLM, Steve Pearce, is a direct threat to our public lands. We cannot trust him with 245 million acres of federal land. Protect our outdoors and tell Senators to vote NO on his confirmation.

Totally remember it, it was a odd presentation but otherwise quite normal family show of the time. That said, they did cover a few things that were outside the normal bubble of family troubles IIRC. Hated the baby.
The ending was hella trippy and sobering though.

Extremely accurate.
For those that were wondering per the source, "When added at design stage, bird-safe features are low cost—less than one percent of total construction costs, per experts."
Incredible! ♥️
Special shout-out last year to:

There was an Anthology of Native American modern fiction that I attempted early last year and *damn* I could not read it.
The first two stories were heavy on sexual assault and depressive content - still lingers with me a year later.
Man, last year kicked my butt - both in terms of school, work, and administration! I certainly read above 30 books, but both rereads of favorites and failure to commit on others outside my comfort areas were way higher than normal.
3 down this year, 1 actively reading, and 6 quasi committed.
Extremely worrying.
Does anyone have a gift article or alternative link?
Awesome!
4) Are/were missile teams same sex only?
3a) human factor designs - the keys especially should have tactile indicators to indicate which side is up.
3b) love the grease pen work on signalling which missile had left the tube. I'm a big grease pen whore and it bothers me when agencies don't use them/forbid them.
Interesting! I've toured a couple silos and it was nice to see the process.
Some takeaways:
1) Damn the ergonomics are terrible - especially for these shorter women.
2) Interesting Point-Read-Operate method, not quite the same we used in Navy. Is this style more common to AF or missile work?
Friends—we're watching what's happening in Minneapolis and across the country. I know many of you are scared and worried at home.

Great graphic showing cities on a triangle graph showing if they are most oriented to public transit, active mobility or cars.
Have you seen this? This recent study of mode share (the % share of transportation trips that are by car, transit, walking, biking etc) relative to city size and income levels in almost 800 cities in 61 countries. Interesting results. HT @davidzipper.bsky.social

I've always been an "X-emma" guy but every taxi driver in South East Asia has been keen on telling me that I speak the worst English they've ever heard. 😂
Tardigrade?!
Let me in on some poo and algae eating!
Feel better and try to get some sun!
It's definitely brutal up here in northern New Mexico - we have about 10% of our staff out atm.
I would definitely like to hear more about those 32 projects in progress. Aquasave's page can definitely use some hard technical data and portfolio - it's all keyword fluff.
