My #LitterPick from last week:

A 6-minute walk on ONE SIDE of the road,

3 small general-waste bags,

1 large bag of recyclables (70 cans, 21 glass bottles)

And the "skeleton" of a car I had to leave behind.

Well, I've started to amass a collection of metal caps, tabs and plastic lids.

I plan to use them in art projects.

Litter left by the side of the road, sprawling into the hedgerow.

Litter left in a field, mainly plastic garden waste e.g. bins, flowerpots.

Litter left beside a lay-by. A variety of items from takeaway containers to a hoover.

Every time I come across these small fly-tipping spots (mostly in lay-bys), I'm left completely puzzled.

We're taught as kids to put things in the bin... so how does it get from "put it in the bin" to "leave it in the countryside"?
