Yay! So glad to hear that! One of my favorite books as a kid was a diary book (I've asked this chat to help me find it before, sadly nothing matched up!) so that started it for me, then I read Ruth Behar's "Letters from Cuba" and was inspired! #kidlitchat

Boldest thing I've done to a story? Write it entirely in letters! My debut is epistolary which made me nervous for sure (it's not done a ton) but my inspo was a real life pen pal & from the very beginning that's how I heard the characters voices & it just flowed! ✨✉️✨

Hi Nathan, this sounds really interesting. As long as it feels based in a familiar world, even with some altered elements, I'd be open to it! If you'd categorize as pure fantasy, however, then I'd say I'm not the right person.

Hi! Fairytale retellings are great-- low portal fantasy probably not my thing if the mc stays in the fantasy world and if it is really very different from our own (like in a true fantasy). Dogs, and all animals, are always welcome!

I would say that if it's young YA (14-15 yo mc) or YA that's really crossover with adult (Like The People We Keep) then I'm on board. But true YA has a very particular voice and is not something I work with extensively at this time. #revpit #meettheeditor
