We must demand that our Members of Congress oppose ANY and ALL funding for Trump’s illegal war, including voting against any supplemental funding package.

Democrat’s plan would eliminate federal income taxes for half of U.S. workers Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s tax relief plan could benefit tens of millions of middle-class workers, with a focus on those making at or below a living wage.

We love to see Democratic proposals to tax the rich. The top 1% of Americans own about as much wealth as the bottom 90% — and that gap only continues to grow under this regime. The American people are crying out for a fair tax system that eases the burden on working families.

That's true to a point, yet there is a lot more Dems COULD be doing to block his nominees, not give them a quorum, etc. Also, why did so many GOOD Dems just vote to block the release of congressional sexual misconduct reports??

Trust us, WE KNOW! We will require international help to stop him like that same leader you likened him to. Our resistance will not be enough to save the entire world.

There Is More Than One Way to Kill Mail-in Voting On Tuesday in Texas, Democratic voters in Dallas and Williamson Counties, Texas, had their work cut out for them if they wanted to vote.

We shouldn’t have to fight just to be able to exercise a right, but primary night in Texas made it clear we will have to. Here’s what you need to know and how to get ready to do it.

NO WAR WITH IRAN! Pass a War Powers Resolution NOW! Text SIGN PXFACG to 50409 — I urge you to vote YES on the War Powers Resolution to block further unauthorized military escalation with Iran. Iran did not attack the United States, and there is no credible evidence of an imminent threat that justifies war. National security experts and prior U.S. intelligence assessments have made clear that diplomacy — not bombing — is the appropriate path forward. We know the true cost of these decisions. Iraq alone cost over 4,000 American lives, trillions of dollars, and years of instability. We cannot repeat those mistakes. Recent strikes have already caused significant civilian casualties and risk pulling U.S. troops into another open-ended conflict, which the American people do not support. Congress has the constitutional authority — and responsibility — to decide when the nation goes to war. The last War Powers vote failed by a single vote. This time must be different. Vote YES on the War Powers Resolution. Stop this war before more lives are lost.

Pentagon Pressures AI Firm to Drop Safeguards Congress Must Intervene Text SIGN PSDUHY to 50409 — Recent reporting from The Guardian, NPR, Reuters, and the Associated Press describes a troubling dispute between the Department of Defense and the AI company Anthropic. According to those reports, the Pentagon demanded that Anthropic remove contractual safeguards restricting how its AI model could be used by the military — including limitations related to fully autonomous weapons and mass domestic surveillance. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei publicly declined to remove those guardrails, stating the company could not “in good conscience” agree to unrestricted deployment of its systems in those contexts. The administration subsequently directed federal agencies to halt use of Anthropic’s technology and reportedly designated the company a “supply-chain risk.” This dispute is not about weakening national defense. It is about responsible governance and congressional oversight. Artificial intelligence systems remain probabilistic tools. As AI industry leaders themselves have acknowledged, frontier models are not reliable enough to operate fully autonomous weapons without meaningful human oversight. These systems can misidentify targets, hallucinate outputs, and fail outside their training data. Integrating them into lethal systems without enforceable guardrails introduces unacceptable risk. The constitutional implications are equally serious. The Fourth Amendment protects Americans from unreasonable searches and seizures. AI systems capable of analyzing surveillance data at unprecedented scale dramatically expand government technical capacity. If the Department of Defense has no intention of using AI for unlawful domestic surveillance, then codifying clear contractual prohibitions should not be controversial. Refusal to provide such assurances warrants oversight. Congress has both the authority and responsibility to ensure that federal procurement power is not used to pressure private companies into abandoning publicly stated safety standards. I respectfully urge you to: • Conduct oversight hearings into the administration’s handling of AI procurement and safety requirements. • Require enforceable human-in-the-loop standards for any AI integrated into weapons systems. • Prohibit federal contract terms that compel companies to remove AI safety guardrails. • Establish bipartisan, transparent rules governing military AI deployment before such systems become normalized. Decisions made now will shape the future of warfare, civil liberties, and democratic accountability. Human beings — not algorithms — must remain responsible for life-and-death decisions.

End ICE Detention of Families Text SIGN PASHYS to 50409 — I’m calling on you today to demand the closure of ICE family detention centers. There are humane alternatives to detention. The American Academy of Pediatrics has called for these detention centers to be shuttered, and you should too. Children are not criminals and should not be imprisoned. Every day locked away denies the child of a day of healthy development. As a Member of Congress, you need to stand up for children. A detention cell is no place for a child. They deserve love and care, but these ICE facilities offer them undrinkable water, food that can be inedible, unsanitary living conditions, and dangerous medical neglect. They committed no crime, yet we are the ones robbing them of their childhood. We are unjustly locking up vulnerable people in inhumane conditions, many of whom are legally seeking asylum. We cannot allow policies that inflict such harm on innocent families.
