Cover of you're ours by D.C. Emerson
Favorite quotes: Tyler shook his head so fast he nearly gave himself whiplash. "No! Of course not! I've been with trans guys before. And trans gals. And actually some nonbinary peeps, as well. Truly, I'm an equal opportunity sort of dude," he babbled, culminating his impromptu little speech with a helpless shrug. "Do you like to top, bottom, or both?" Sky asked. "If you only like to bottom, I can get my strap and fuck you while Jackson fucks me. If you like both, we're happy to put you in the middle, and if you only like to top..." Sky's grin turned almost feral as he glanced between his husband and Tyler. "Well, then I guess you'll just have to take turns with me." "You do have two holes, love," Jackson said, tipping Sky's chin up and capturing his mouth in a filthy kiss.
Sky had just been thinking the same about Tyler's hickory smell, which would hopefully settle into Sky's sweater for the day. For himself, Sky preferred lighter, more floral scents. Jackson had always gravitated towards fresh scents, like his current bottle of Babbling Brook for Men. Sky couldn't help but giggle as he realized that together they made up a whole damn forest.
4/5 ⭐️ Available on KU, Novella
LGBTQIA+ rep, half vetianmese MC, high spice
It was cute but also kind of lukewarm. I did experience a range of emotions which is why my rating isn't lower: giddiness, frustration, teared up a bit. I remember the trio fondly.

Panel of the spider/demon guy transformed. He has two more sets of arms on his sides and kind of looks like black armor on them. He's on top of the priest and it looks like they're about to get it on. Priest: mmpm (and other sounds) Spider: master, do you feel good? Priest: more sounds Spider: hey. Is it okay? Also I drew a surprised face and pointed to his new arms
And then later last night... I regretted... so many arms 😐.
I might finish it later but.... reading about monster fucking and actually seeing it in a visual medium are so different
Cover of the manga Buddhist priest & a spider by Haji Picture of the Buddhist priest in a web with the spider/demon guy over him
Panel of the spider/demon guy in his human form that says from right to left: Mating with females would be the dumbest thing to do. They only think of us as sperm bags with added nutritional value.
Out of all the books I have from Kobo Plus, this is what I'm reading. No regrets 🙂↔️

Cover of silver blood by t.l. Morgan
Screenshot from highlighted section of Kobo plus: "Wait, you're leaving again?" Lucien batted his eyes. "Yes, daddy has to go do other things now, but he'll come back and check on you later, okay?" "Fuck you, Vista."
Screenshot from lighted section on kobo: "Still not giving you drugs." "I never asked you to?" This mystic was so weird. "Do you want me to ask you for drugs?" "Go ahead." Cyrus blinked. "C-Can I have some drugs?"
Screenshot of highlighted section on kobo: How could he be afraid, when Lucien held him as if he was something to be treasured-something to be worshiped? Cyrus barely felt the bite anymore; only warmth, and a deep ache for more. He wanted Lucien to devour him.
One of my favorites from last year has an audiobook now!! Ebook and audiobook are available in Kobo Plus too.
Vampire hunter who doesn't want to hunt and a vampire 😌

Here are some of my fav quotes
I think it's been 4 years since I've read a white cishet romance...and I'm all the better for it, honestly
Increased my reading goal from 60 to 200 for the fun I'm going to have in Janaury 2027 when the yearly whining about large reading goals comes back around
Cover of that self-same metal by Brittany n Williams. Joan, black teen, I'm the cover in Shakespearean age London dress with a sword in her hand. The metal is swirling in front of her like water
I'm usually uncomfortable reading about racism, but it was handled well. Joan is an amazingly smart, strong, & capable. Her twin brother is fun & strong in a different way that's complementary to his sister. I started this 5/2025 & put it on hold b/c of a really annoying teenager scene. It made sense b/c hello, she's a teen, but annoyed me so much lol. I'm glad I went back and pushed through. It was an important scene. Since it's been so long I can't give a full review. Great LGBTQIA+ rep. Joan is bi & deals with romantic feelings toward a boy and a girl. Her brother, James, is shown to have feelings toward a boy. I don't remember if there's any homophobia. I don't think so. Racially diverse cast of characters: Black, white, and a brown character. He's kind of giving South Asian but I'm not sure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
super fun YA fantasy with smart and strong Black characters 🥰
I wish I could listen to an audiobook and read at the same time (different books) 😔

And that one fish danmei
And then LI is eventually able to turn back human after they had already started falling for the MC, but the MC still sees them as their little pet friend. Then blah blah, lovers.
I've only ever read this in manhwa 😭 (2/2)
I need more books where the MC thinks the love interest is just a little animal and takes care of them. Their wholesome relationship melts the MC's cold heart and the LI becomes their favorite animal friend that they would do anything for. (1/2)
📚💙
Not a fan of the never ending horniness after that, though. I needed a respite from a different book, and Perfect Scent Match definitely provided that.
Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. My full review is on storygraph: lunalikesbooksss (2/2)
Cover of perfect scent match by Emily Antoinette. Shows archer standing in the middle between Beau and Ruby
I was super excited to finally read about a woman in charge inside AND outside the bedroom. I love you, Ruby 😍.
I absolutely LOVED that they showed interest in each other (mostly) before sharing scents. (1/2)
3 sex scenes in the span of 37 pages for a book that isn't insta-lust nor marketed as erotica is actually crazy. I'm at 42%. Are they going to just fuck the rest of the book now?! Tf. This book is 618 pages, by the way. I'll give it another 30 pages. That's it
We put everything in the fridge & waited 24 hours. Haven't heard anything. I guess it's mine now 😌. I hope whoever ordered got a refund quickly. I'm super grateful (2/2)
Someone's groceries were delivered to my house the other night & we noticed in the morning. $80 worth of groceries. It was cold enough for them to make it through the night, and it's food my husband & I eat. We asked our nearby neighbors but nope. Not theirs. (1/2)
Screenshot from kindle book of a highlighted section: Once she breached the entrance of the cemetery, she released the breath that she hadn't realized she had been holding.
Omg I think this is the first time I've read this phrase this year. It seems we have not forgotten the old ways 🙏
I'm only 4% in, but I'm having a great time.

You don't have to tell me everyone is white & pale over and over and over and over. I get it. I promise you, I understand. 12 instance of white or pale (I didn't count pale from fear, etc) in 100-ish pages 🙃
That was enough times for me to notice and want to count 2/2
💙📚
Sad to say I'm DNFing Extasia by Claire Legrand at 20%. The longer I listen, the more I get annoyed, and I'm not even entirely sure why. I think I might not like long horror novels. Over 500 pages seems like a lot for horror. I'm missing the sense of urgency and unease. I am only 20% percent in 1/2
I'm so sick of authors telling me over and over and over and over and over how white and pale their characters. I get it. I promise you, I get it.

This is just my kindle 😔. I still have physical books and my kobo
*I'm not bothered by the wait because I decided last minute that we would be going out 2/2
We're on an hour* wait at a restaurant. I just saw a couple walk by and the guy said, "Oh, dear 🥺." The woman with him is dressed up super cute, and she looked annoyed already. And so the Valentine's Day bullshit begins 😟. Dude, why didn't you get a reservation somewhere?! 1/2
How are we all not drunk or high all the time in the USA right now???
So I gave up on this too 💀
I've always thought I would be a good beta reader. Can I try??? Please? For free.99

Did you know that the loser flag is still flown outside of government buildings in southern states (USA)? Yep
All white why choose (4+ people) romances give me the ick. Idk. Feels suspicious
Cover of a hemorrhage of us by roslyn reed A horror romance novel
Cover of daggermouth by h.m. Wolfe He is her ruin She is his rebellion
I've DNFed 9 books this year. 9!! Ranged from 13% to 80%. It really kills my mood.
I put Daggermouth and A Hemorrhage of Us (I'm at 3% in both) on hold because I have high hopes for them. I'm not ready to risk it yet 🥺
I might have to reread one of favorites
