I started watching them because of RiffTrax and now I unabashedly love them

A bad movie about a woman is OK with the movie dudes if it's not actually from the woman's point of view, like BARB WIRE or CHERRY 2000 or countless others. TANK GIRL? There's enough male gaze, they'll grudgingly allow it. GINGER SNAPS? They haven't heard of it. TWILIGHT? eww they might get cooties!

I was just thinking about that (happened a few years ago) because I'm in the middle of a TWILIGHT rewatch. I have such affection for these terrible movies.

I have never been more aware of the casual misogyny of almost everyone I knew on social media as when I posted that I was watching EVENT HORIZON then two days later that I was watching TWILIGHT

Does anyone know, when RiffTrax goes through an old riff and removes the ugly "jokes" do they just remove, or replace with new material? I didn't notice any gaps in the pace of the TWILIGHT riff.

I heard RiffTrax has been revisiting old riffs to remove problematic jokes. Rewatched TWILIGHT yesterday and there seems to be way less ugly homophobia. I hadn't watched that one in years because the endless ranting about Edward being "womany" was so uncomfortable. This time only a few like that

Has the sync been improved? I have this and like a lot of the early Just The Jokes it keeps drifting out of sync, I have to adjust every few minutes throughout the movie

I think I must have some kind of sensory issue, I have a really hard time with things that jingle like that. Even if they don't make noise, the feeling of it. I can't wear bracelets either
