I don’t know a lot about cake decorating but I do know that this is a huge find for just $3, that’s awesome.

Oooo I never looked into the story of Strixhaven, I just loved the vibes. I always love takes on “magic university” in stories and (at least visually and from what I’ve seen with the cards) Strix has looked so interesting.

It’s a huge reason why I love the game: you discover so many lore and story tidbits through the flavor text and the art and their combination, and sometimes it doesn’t hit you until you’re trying to remove someone’s problematic creature with Anguished Unmaking and you actually read the card.

I never ONLY stick to my homies, I still play with others often, I just find joy playing with my pod on our usual cadence. Sometimes that’s just the pipeline magic or any other hobby leads folk down.

We wouldn’t have been this close without Magic, and while folks are still able to join other pods and meet other folk, I think it’s perfectly fine and awesome if friend groups find themselves.

Yea yea, tho In my mind I still see it as gathering, if not at least the outcome of the gathering. The game brought us together and continues to bring us together consistently, and we’ve become a close-knit group outside of the game as we hang out and do things amongst our other shared interests.

…you’d kinda HAVE to play with whoever is there and available, but there is a joy in finding the few people amongst the rabble that you DO enjoy playing with and building up your own pod of homies you play and grow with.

At least that’s my story. You can still gather with your homies.

I would would agree in the whole “least social” aspect, but I personally see that as the end goal. There are just some kind of folk and some kind of players who have some kinds of play styles that I simply do not want to play with/against. While at the start when discovering a new TCG Shop…

While I’m not an avid “fan” of TMNT, I still very much love it from my childhood, but I really didn’t think it made for a good set for Magic.

I am really curious what wizards dictates which IPs become UB for Magic. There are so many other really solid choices.

TMNT at my LGS was actually pretty big which surprised me.
It looked like a pretty interesting set having watched a few games but again it just felt bad having another UB set as opposed to an in-universe set // a set that fit better with Magic’s fantasy aesthetic.

Niiice. I went for pseudo spellbuff proliferation. All I need is ONE experience counter and I roll with it and keep Kratos alive and scary (and unblockable). With him having no keywords it makes it very interesting to work around.
I’ll add my list to moxfield when I can and also share.

How did you build around Kratos? It’s turning out to be one of my most powerful commanders in my pod and I love it so much.

I've owned a PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS5. I owned a PSP Go. I owned both models of Vita. I even briefly owned a second PS2 for playing import games.

What is Substance Designer? When I look it up I only see the Photoshop/Substance 3D Designer pop up (unless you are using one of those two).
