I am an author, musician, pet owner, problem-solver, pagan, con-runner, and progressive queer nerd in St Paul, MN. She/Her There will be everything from cats to social justice here and profanity aplenty. You have been warned! ππ©Άπ€ https://clantoren.com/

Born and raised in Batavia!
Are you a transplant from WNY like me??? It's been a long time since I thought about that jingle because it's been a Six Flags so long!
Abolishing ICE should be the *conservative* position. The whole system needs to be dismantled, and these fuckers need to be fired, investigated, and prosecuted.
Don't let guilt push you to the breaking point, let alone beyond. We need you in this fight. We need you for the future. Grant yourself the kindness and care you extend to others. Breathe and heal when you need to. We're all in this together and we're stronger when we prioritize our mental health.
I've taken a giant step back lately from engaging with the horrors, trying to get a handle on the damage to my body, brain, and soul. It is not a lack of care about these events. It's that we can all only hold so much pain and fear and trauma and rage. Rest and self care are necessary for survival.
Rod Serling is probably the coolest guy of the 20th century. Looked cool, sounded cool, fought Nazis, hated John Wayne, wrote the screenplay for Planet of the Apes. Honestly dunks all the hell over any male influencer guy.

Can confirm, every Signal chat in town either said nothing or made one snide comment and then immediately got back to work
Let me be clear: Iβm glad Kristi Noem was fired. But we still have to abolish ICE.
Honestly this brought me a ridiculous amount of joy. I love how we bond over the monthly awoooo and the storm watches and pets in the basement pics.
Really, truly, the MN feed is the best community on the Internet even before we are god-damned heroes protecting each other.
No place I'd rather be
It's the little joys of storm tracking and pets in basements pictures, and Wednesday awooooos that bring us together when we're not under crisis
Nope! Weβre a union, and that means even when you get in fistfights during practice, you show up when the lights are on come Sunday.
Weβre all in this together, and weβre all on the same team.
Oh yeah I was watching and calling play-by-play for Sarah in the other room!
How I arrived on Bluesky
Thank you for everything! I was glued to this thread all day. Congratulations on speaking in federal court and thank you for doing so on behalf of our neighbors!
The trauma in this thread is heartbreaking but the truth is undeniable.
Hi, I'm the eldest of two and the only girl. The whole family's emotional well-being is my responsibility, and so is everything regarding my younger sibling from his grades to his behavior in public or private. I am secondary.
So so so much same
It hurts me how true this is. Actual blow to the chest pain. It also explains a lot about why I moved 1000 miles away at the earliest opportunity.
Truly jarring to think of the many repetitions of this cycle just in my lifetime.
This is an excellent thread for anyone looking for history on why what Trump just did is the worst possible thing for so many more reasons than you are thinking about already
Fuuuuuuuuuck absolutely everything.
Except the heroes of Minnesota keeping our neighbors protected, fed, and housed against the STILL ONGOING Occupation Of Racist Violent Lawless Assholes.
If you're not already a hero, you could be:

Otherwise fuck everything else today.
A bunch of people were abducted by ice today, meaning vulnerable people will be staying in hiding. Weβre going in to month FOUR (4!)
Declare a state of emergency and eviction moratorium!
Hey @mollycoleman.bsky.social Iβd like to know why our libraries get around 27 million in funding while cops that teargas us and work with ice get 146 million.
Nobody in Saint Paul should be OK with that.
Seriously folks, we're in desperate need in Minnesota, especially here at the end of the month.

...west asked me what were all doing out here in our vests. He had a tone of irritation. I told him we're helping our neighbors he drove off. The creeps are showing up this week. Another neighbor checks on me. This is how it works. 13m
π¨Minneapolis, be careful:
There's folks doing community defense getting hassled by random unfriendly weirdos asking what people are doing in their vests, cussing them out for being out, even taking photos.
Keep your wits about you & make sure you're buddied up & communicating with neighbors.
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed
