I saw footage from the school that got hit in Iran on the news. It was a point of view from one of the rescue workers. I saw him reach out and pull the torn remains of a colorful children's book from the rubble, a half a burned page with an illustration of a tree.

It broke me.

this was a super involved process, i made a dither node graph that has accurate PSX colour depth, vertex position compression, and more!
