A street surrounded by mid-rise buildings and professional landscaping.
Kinda wish all of South Lake Union had the look/feel of the 300th block of 8th Ave. North (needs a bit more traffic calming, though)
Finished Heated Rivalry last nightβ¦ loved the show but I STILL donβt understand the rules of hockey?!

in the west end, #vancouver uses a lot of small public plazas as modal filters, which allow bikes and pedestrians to go through, but not cars. not only do these places make the city safer for all, they're also great third places.
Three street signs that say βHarrison Stβ
Excuse me, is this Harrison Street?

This disgusting shit doesnβt belong in American society.
And Republicans who support it donβt belong in Congress.

Youβll be Converse-ing with the locals about shared streets, neighborhood plazas, and such
Cyclists using a new protected bike lane by the train station and bull fighting arena.
A bi-directional bike path with rideshare parking. The pavement could use some TLC.
One of the wider bike paths I noticed along a busy one-way arterial street.
A shared street in the city center.
ValΓ¨nciaβs protected bike lanes.
Cons:
- bi-directional paths squeezed into busy arterial streets
- VERY narrow travel lanes
- some paths needed maintenance and/or smoother pavement
Pros:
- an expanding network
- lots of shared streets in the city center
- nice biking weather π

With Callais not out yet & no opinion likely until late March at the earliest, it is becoming functionally too late for most southern states to redraw maps.
By the end of March, primaries will have happened in TX, NC, & MS & mail ballots will go out shortly after in AL, GA, and LA.
Hardin Harrison seems to be the most βnormalβ of the bunch. Definitely a Chamber of Commerce + prominent Baptist church type.

Fun fact: my masterβs degree focused on Arkansas political history
I canβt recall seeing a result like this in modern Arkansas history. With nearly 100% reporting, itβs nearly a three-way tie for the GOP nomination for SOS. The top two will advance to a runoff.
(Theyβre all awful, fwiw)
Harris is reporting, per NYT. Crockett is up 54-45 with 65% reporting.
Dallas, Bexar, and El Paso are the only βbigβ counties yet to report for the Democratic ticket.
Was wondering why we have GOP results for Dallas and none for the Democratsβ¦
Might be the only pro-Crockett County left?

December 2025 through February 2026 was the 2nd warmest winter on record for the Contiguous U.S. according to Prism climate data. The widespread record to near record warmth in the west easily outweighed the cool temps in the east. π₯π₯π₯

Iβll never understand why Seattle allows parking along arterial streets. Thatβs what side streets are for!
So gross.

Itβd be pricey, but this treatment is my dream for Queen Anne Boulevard and Lake Washington Boulevard (as a woonerf, with lots of traffic calming + one-way vehicle access)
