They did more scans on her after, and it turns out parts of her heart had calcified. The doctor, in her 30+ years of rabbit care has only ever seen that 3 times prior.

Recently, over the past month or so, Toasty has been losing weight. We took her to the doctors for a check up today and during her check up, she had a cardiac arrest and passed.

I highly recommend volunteering for causes important to your soul. It will feed you, even during the bad days. And the good days shine so bright.
Today I helped with a transport with Wings of Rescue and some longtime resident cats of our shelter were going. 🥹 Heartfelt goodbyes and such deep wishes for a loving forever home for them. This work fills my cup and makes me more ready to face the days stronger.

I also learned here how to give kittens flea baths. Whew, id never seen so many fleas on such a tiny baby before but all 5 babies I bathed were infested.
