I wonder at which point in the polling electoral reform becomes a move that would save Labour MPs' jobs and is in their own interests

Hey Eric looks like the subreddit spotted an interesting line in the changelogs

For me it's keeping up with reading. I'm surprised how many people are convinced it's not possible to infer tone/sarcasm from written text.

Will there be instructions? I'm sure it's very straightforward with the screwed-on back but worried about messing up

I have a card holder on my phone where I slot my house key, just so I can reduce the number of objects I need to think about

Graduate: Why do I have to pay usurious interest rates on this loan?

Government: It isn't really a loan - think of it more like a tax.

Graduate: Why do I have to pay an extra 9% tax compared with older graduates?

Government: It isn't a tax - it is a loan!

My phone tells me this incredibly stupid day on Twitter was eight years ago today. Domestic appliance chat is one of the under appreciated cheat codes to virality.

SV takes the top two candidates to the second round, the second preference is wasted unless you happened to vote for one of the two that got taken through

Shame they don't move to full AV considering the progressive vote is split between 3 or so parties

Can we say these votes are necessarily "lost" if they're comparing different electoral systems? E.g. Plaid Senedd voters who vote Labour under FPTP

There's buses around Bromley at the moment that charge overhead when they reach the end of the bus route. Pair it with more bus lanes and I think we're on to something! Though of course it suffers from the same issues as ideas like Bus Rapid Transit.

As it's Brighton Pavilion it could be as simple as voting for the strongest non-Tory candidate

True but I think governments get leeway when they drop less important promises, and the Lib Dems underestimated the amount voters associated them with the free tuition pledge.

this seems more of a devolution problem rather than a problem with the actual scheme. UK govt pushed back because it wanted a UK-wide consistent approach.
