Yeeeeees!! I’ve been collecting the Disney Designer doll series for a while and only recently started branching out into other brands, and seeing the playline Barbies now vs when I was growing up in the 2000s, the quality is TRASH.

I know there are so many more serious things happening in the world right now but I remember being able to go to the store with my parents and browsing the doll aisle, even if we couldn’t afford to buy any of them. I was still able to figure out what I liked. Pushing us further online sucks ass.

The fact that Walmart is basically the only physical store in Canada now where you can find fashion dolls is diabolical. There’s a lot of smaller local toy stores around, but specifically in Vancouver they don’t tend to carry Barbie or Bratz or any of the major brands. I mourn for the kids.
