Book writing is going well! Finished my broad overview of the 19th century British occult revival--a challenging balancing project between "say just enough that Jungian readers will have context" vs. "say enough that esotericists won't sneer." Now to do the same thing for France & Germany!

At my heaviest, I weighed 453 pounds. I lost about 25, then started in earnest on April 12, 2024. So really I’ve lost a total of 175.2 pounds! Me then, me now!

To establish a gym routine, "very large me" had to say "THE HELL WITH WHAT ANYONE THINKS, I'M DOING THIS FOR ME." Working on a book, I've been paralyzed by "What will others think?" Now scheduling a daily writing hour, saying "THE HELL WITH WHAT ANYONE THINKS OF THIS BOOK, I'M DOING THIS FOR ME!"

So many today, including people within my own discipline, are only seeing the "worst case scenario" when it comes to artificial intelligence. I'm excited to see my chapter published in this important work discussing AI's many implications for psyche!

Such a great loss. I will always remember the day in second grade, when our substitute teacher told us that her sister was going to visit us--and that sister was the amazing Jane Goodall.

Another exact edition of a magic-related owned by Jung (well, in this case a precise replica of the edition he owned). This set is no longer considered current scholarship in many ways, but it’s still important to see what sources Jung was working with.
