1) Rizzo should be tried in The Hague
2) Piece frames this as β€œcaught up to league”

Which if true shows the challenge. Catching up means you’re in 15th place.

Need to find that extra edge or be the absolute best.

You can squint and see they’re doing enough differently you can’t say no. But…

Potoooooooo Potoooooooo or variations of Pot-8-Os was an 18th-century British thoroughbred racehorse who won over 25 races and placed higher than some of the most prominent racehorses of his time. He went on to be an important sire, whose leading runners included Epsom Derby winners Waxy, Champion, and Tyrant.

Potoooooooo was an 18th-century British racehorse whose name was pronounced like β€œPotatoes” (Pot-eight-Os). [en.wikipedia.org]

What would you call one Montreal Expo being removed from the Nats Park Ring of Honor?

A good start.

Wow. He doesn’t want to represent this franchise? Well how about we pry his name off the Nats Park ring of honor then.

A little more than half of large market Baltimore’s. MASN deal is really holding them back.

Fun Fact: the Nats payroll is about $30 million less than the A’s.

The Far Side cartoon from 12/6/1987 depicting a ship full of revelers heedlessly sailing through a body of water with mines bobbing in it, a warship in the background, and a small raft with a couple guys and a gun in the bow. I’m now old enough where they automatically trim my eyebrows and run the clippers around my ear.

Sigh.

It’s a group sales marketing ploy that suckers affinity groups.

What a business.

The prevalence of these things all over the league is a total scourge.

They mark up the prices making you pay inflated costs for the seat and the supposed giveaway.

Then for the β€œday” the Nats usually don’t really do anything special. Maybe someone connected throws out the 1st pitch.

It’s a mistake to think that how he calls games is important.

80% of his importance is as being a good-hang jock-trophy on the golf course for TV execs and sponsors.

Sucks for us!

Wow. The Bride was exactly what I was expecting going in.

Not sure I’ve seen a train wreck as occasionally entertaining as this.

Just one terrible misfire after another.

It’s terrific but please don’t go see it. It sucks. Everyone involved should be in jail. Can’t wait for their next movie.

Fun Espino facts:

He won his first career game as a starting pitcher and in his very next appearance earned his first career save.

He pitched a hidden perfect game, retiring 27 straight batters as a reliever.

He had my favorite statistical oddity: a 4-inning complete game.

What a career.

Remembering that time Davey inexplicably went after Espino for not being something he wasn’t. Davey sucked so very much. Terrible manager. Terrible leader.
