ZX Spectrum 48K. But only after 3 years playing with Univac 1110a mainframe, Prime 250 mini computer workstation and a PDP 11/2 (Polytechnic and industrial placement year). Bought to load microcode into a self designed mini computer based on a 16-bit CPU from TI, for my final year project.
Until I can lay my hands on some of the new stuff, I can’t comment. The shipping and import costs would be horrendous for one or two spools, nor does it look like they have any international resellers (not even @josefprusa.bsky.social currently offer it).
That aquamarine looks superb! I’ve loved the Elixir filament from Polyalchemy, so was looking forward to seeing the new formulation from Printed Solid. Unfortunately the only Swiss distributor for Polyalchemy doesn’t have plans to carry the new ones😭

Yep! I enjoy the process of working out what is needed, the design iterations to fully visualise it, along with the printing iterations to end up with a part that fully meets the original goal. More so when it’s something the wife needs 😊
Designed in Fusion, sliced in OrcaSlicer, printed in @polymaker.bsky.social PolyTerra charcoal PLA on a Sovol SV08 in batches of 4 - I shared it with the others on my course.
As I’ve recently been followed here by some awesome fellow #3dprinting people from that other place, I suppose I should start posting things I’ve designed and/or printed. This keeps pens with my German course folder, my own design.
Hi Jerry, been here, or should I say I joined here, some 11 months ago, but with little engagement. These last few days have seen, for me anyway, a massive increase in the number of 3d related followers. I wonder why… 😉
I should have mentioned this was on the Velo 3D stand at the Formnext 2023 exhibition this week. Ah, exhibition closed 33 minutes ago!
A short while ago, @joeltelling.bsky.social made the head of Optimus Primal, on a 3D metal printer from Velo 3D (subsequently tortured by Joel and Hacksmith!) I got to see it yesterday. The slight discolouration is still visible in the ear from the torture 😉
