News of a Gaza ceasefire brings hope after devastating months of violence. Hostages must come home, aid must get through, and this must be the first step towards lasting peace. The UK and our allies must do everything to ensure this holds.

Please write to your MP. Tell them about Gigi’s story. Ask them to support the campaign: safer nurseries should not be controversial.
I’ve secured a meeting for Gigi’s parents with the Minister responsible for early years. I’ll be there with them – alongside the LullabyTrust – to push for change.
This cannot be another tragedy met with silence.
As a new parent, this story hit me hard. You expect nurseries to be safe – to be a place of care, protection and trust.
We owe it to Gigi, and to every family, to make sure this never happens again.
They’re calling for:
✅ Mandatory safe sleep training
✅ Routine unannounced Ofsted inspections
✅ Compulsory use of CCTV in nurseries
These are straightforward, practical reforms. And they’re long overdue.
Gigi Meehan was just 9 months old when she died at a nursery in Cheadle Hulme. No parent should ever go through what her family has.
Her death was preventable, and her parents are now campaigning for simple, vital changes to keep children safe.

Just met with the Chief Exec of @penninecarenhs.bsky.social, our local NHS mental health trust. They're doing vital work on autism, ADHD, veterans’ care & trauma. But facing huge pressures: 6% cuts, 80 sites, minimal capital.

Raised Heald Green’s parking issues in Parliament after hearing from residents on Finney Lane, Rosslyn Rd & East Ave.
Trust in private parking firms is so low, more drivers are turning to on-street parking — causing real problems locally.
Time for a fairer, joined-up approach.
