She always had spots but they’re so much more visible the older she gets. Her legs are almost solid now!
She only wants the ones that Beth wants most
Looking stylish there dude

Story has all of the giant stuffies

We went back to the park - aka the scene of the toe crime. I watched her really carefully but she seems to have done well. My vet is still worried that it might happen again so that makes me paranoid. We had a rough winter so we’re mostly inside. I’m hoping that helped it heal.
I’ll give you a bonus Beth video to thank you for thinking about her
I have a really hard time finding people I follow here too. I don’t know how their algorithm works but I don’t like it.
Got an itch
She used to pace frantically & run up & down the stairs. Now she stands in the corner & pants. She boarded at the vets once & wouldn’t eat for 4 days. For her to take food with people in her house is huge. Definite improvement - but less fearful is relative.
That’s Sheyla. She is a Podenco from Spain like Beth but a different variety. She was a former brood mother who we adopted at 11. She’s 16 1/2 now and rules the roost. Podencos are used for hunting in Spain.
A walk in the woods
First time at the cabin this year. Still a little ice on the lake but it’s going fast.
The Punkster
I can’t even…
❤️❤️❤️
It may not seem like much, but this is the face of a dog who not only survived dinner with company, but who ate leftovers while there were people in the room! If you are what you eat, tonight Beth is spaghetti, not just a fearful dog.
I sat it up to dry out before I sewed it back up. She snatched it back off the kitchen counter. Tall dogs! It can be salvaged still.
Beth is very proud of her work
Double trouble
Happy 6th Birthday Bethie!
She goes through spurts. I can’t explain it. I’m still carrying it for her but she ditches me at the top of the stairs 😂
Good Night Story - you beautiful, independent, capable girl
You can do it. Just go slow. I didn’t let Punky and the dogs mingle for two months. First I kept the door closed. Then I kept the gate closed. Finally after they were used to sight and smell, I let them in one at a time.
And congrats on the new house!
They’ll never let you sit down again. Whatever side of the door they’re on, they’ll want to be on the other side. Multiple dogs? They’ll want to cross the threshold at different times. It’s not very relaxing.
It’s a cat’s life. We just get to live in it.
Because I have a perfectly comfortable family room in my basement that I can never use because the dogs think the door to the back yard is a revolving entrance. I covered the bottom in hopes of making it less appealing. I was not entirely successful.
I am a human footstool
No snow = more squirrels = happy Beth
