What can I say?
What can I say?
Thanks, Kieu, I hope all is well!!!
Absolute Batman is all the rage these days, so I did this marker sketch on copy paper. #batman, #dccomics
Back to a more standard Garfield on this one. I probably should have looked at the interior more carefully as there is a lot of red ink used...lol. But the Garfield comic is published under the BOOM Studios Kaboom imprint, so it feels right!
This is the last blank Ninja Turtle cover that I have for now, so I decided to do an homage to the iconic Amazing Fantasy #15 by the legendary Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko that introduced Spider-Man. Thanks!
An homage to Todd McFarlane's Hulk #340 cover. Copic and Tombow markers.
Nuff said!
Time to give some love to Spider-Verse's Spider-Ham. And yes, that is Orson of Garfield's Friends (U.S. Acres) making a cameo. This wraparound cover was done in Copic markers.
Thanks, David, great writing on Space Ghost!
Another one finished. I had a lot of fun with this one. I became a fan of Space Ghost back with his cartoon in the 60's... yeah, I know how long ago that was, lol.
My first blank cover art of 2026. I bought the original comic off the stands back in '71. I loved the Neal Adams cover, so I had to pay homage to it. With this being a wraparound blank, I had to add a bleached-blond Jon Arbuckle as Green Arrow.
Just finished the second cover left over from my appearance at the West Orange Comics and Video Games last May. Finally, all caught up! I was concerned about this one because I have not worked on a colored blank cover before. #garfield, #scarletwitch, #marvelcomics, #blankcover
Just finished this wraparound blank cover. This was done for a customer at West Orange Comics and Video Games for Free Comic Book Day back in May (Hi, Scott and Joe). But due to the eye surgery in June, this got pushed back. Copic markers and Tombow brush pen.
And thank you!!!
Thank you!
Taking a moment from my Graphic Novel class to post the finally finished Garfield/Pokemon mash-up that will be raffled off tonight at our Demo Night event here at Ringling where students get to watch faculty do demos. #garfield, #pokemon, #comic, #anime, #cartoon
Who can relate?
It's an unsolved mystery, lol.
It's Halloween and a quick sketch of the characters from the Halloween Special to celebrate this macabre time of year and we even have 3i-Atlas that should be returning from behind the sun to make things possibly way more exciting!
This WIP is getting closer to being finished. 11x14 markers on Bristol Board. It will be raffled at a Ringling event in the near future. This is part one of three. Thanks! #garfield, #pokemon, #cartoon, #comic, #anime
The Bat City Comic Professionals zine and third anniversary celebration in Bradenton, FL was a lot of fun on Saturday.
Did a lot of drawings but forgot to take pics of most, but I did get a pic of this blank cover commission. #teenagemutantninjaturtles, #garfello, #garfield, #comicstrip #comic.
Another marker drawing on 11x14 Bristol for the Saturday Event at Bat City in Bradenton. #garfield, #teenagemutantninjaturtles, #odie, #comics, #humor, #comicstrips
Since there is new product based on our Garfield/Turtles mash-up 30+ years ago, I thought it was time for "Garfello" to return to the comics!!!
Got a bunch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle blank covers. Here is the first one. Thanks!
Another finished cover. My scanner seems to not favor Copic markers. Close but they look better on the original.
I just finished illustrating this Garfield the Movie blank cover. I have one more to do with a different theme this weekend. Next week, some Teenage Ninja Turtle blanks will arrive, and I will draw some new Turtles/Garfello team-ups in time for Bat City Comics Bativersary on Sept 27th in Bradenton.
Marker on 11x14 Bristol Board.
#Garfield
Marker on Bristol board. Giving Odie some of the spotlight. I forgot how old this movie is...wow!
A marker drawing on a blank Batman cover for a raffle at a Ringling event last year.
Sure, my pleasure. Working on some new ones as I have time. My students are great at "prompting" me.
Thank you!
