Yeah browsers are a different problem space with, to put it mildly, a wildly more complicated threat model.
I was mostly just commenting on why a team would want this -- there's a lot to like about smaller, more frequent releases, when they're done well. Not a slam-dunk win for a browser though
I have no particular visibility into Chrome's release process, but I wonder if it's basically a way to respond to pressure from above. my team found "no, it has to go in the next release in two weeks" is a much easier sell than "no you have to wait until next month"
I worked on a major android app, and moving from monthly releases to every-other-week helped us stay on schedule and made each individual release more stable. At monthly releases, you constantly get tons of pressure to include "can't wait" features or whatever, lots of cherrypicking and re-testing

I didn't learn how to diagram a sentence or even about some parts of speech (I didn't know what an article was!) until like the 8th grade. I read way above grade level so they put me in a gifted class that did computer stuff and arts and crafts instead, and it was during english class
Like I'm also an annoying weirdo who says stupid shit sometimes before I learn better, but "receiving new information" isn't an extinction level event for my psyche so I've been able to avoid kickstarting the fourth reich about it

A few friends have done the same, and while that's not a huge number, we've all been complaining about windows and talking about switching for YEARS, and everyone independently did it over the course of a few months last year.
And I don't think any of us are coming back without a REALLY good reason
I gave up and switched to CachyOS a while back, took some work to set everything up. It's not perfect, but it supports pretty much all my games, no cloud/ai garbage, and I can play Stellaris past 2275 without windows randomly locking up so hard I have to hold down the power button to hard reboot it.
