This is my concern. For years and generations to come. For my children and grandchildren. There is such an unequal balance of power in what we are doing that the only means of retaliation will be through isolated terror attacks.
I expect those to increase as a result of what we are doing now.
I know that without reading the comments. This country has a severe problem. Just like any individual, if a country can’t admit wrongs, it cannot get better. We’ve been fed “exceptionalism” when data & history disagree. The country must guard that lie just as an insecure person must, to protect ego.
I was forced to watch TV news when I had breakfast in a diner recently and I strongly resonated with the sentiment that being an intelligent person in America today is like being awake during a surgery.
In rural Illinois, went into a meeting yesterday and it was 2.79. Came out 2 hrs later and it was 3.19.
