Trump previously spoke about Iran's missiles, which are, of course, also a threat. But a big question is whether counties bombarded by Iranian Shahed drones have the capability to intercept en masse.
The advantages of Shaheds is that they can be made quickly and in high quantity. Russia has managed to launch up to 750 in one night.
The large number of drones can easily overwhelm air defences. As we see with Iran's response now, even a single drone can do significant damage.
Russia bought Shahed attack drone tech and 6,000 units from Iran in Nov. 2022 for $1.75 billion per a @c4ads.org report released last year.
Zelensky said Russia has launched over 57,000 at Ukraine since.
Now, we see Iran launching this relatively cheap weapon against civilian and military targets.

NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.
βShe was at the brink of dying,β a lawyer told me.
But the girl didnβt go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.

2000 Meters to Andriivka was snubbed by the Oscars, but it's still the absolute best documentary of modern warfare. When the soldiers who survived stood up after the film's premier in Kyiv last summer, they received a 15 minute standing ovation.

This year alone, Russians have used over 101,000 FPV drones in the Kherson region, per authorities.
In the city, they expand about 5,000 per month.
90 civilians have been killed and over 1,300 injured, authorities say. The youngest victim, in the region, was a 1-year-old boy.
Russians began attacking civilians in Kherson using FPV drones over a year ago.
Over time, the drones have been able to reach further. Attacks on the main highway into the city risk cutting the main artery.
