The 3rd track on 'Though We Have Only Love - The Songs of Jacques Brel' is 'I Don't Know'. It is a cover of the Brel original 'Je Ne Sais Pas', which was released in 1958. Check out the video for a preview.

Hence this post. I have learnt to pay attention to synchronicity. Happens all the time with myself and Larry Beckett.
I learnt to play guitar playing along to R.E.M and U2 records. Borrowed a Memory Man echo box and worked out the settings. I learnt alot from the band & they informed my global conciousness and spirituality. Today I was in Oxfam & picked up 'Surrender'. Opened a page at random & there was your name.

Yes, the old translations lose Brels visceral edge. If you can read french you know that the McKuen/Shuman lyrics took liberties. Brel was ok as long as he got paid, but I think the english speaking world would bebefit from the real Gallic flavours :)
