Is there any worse system in the world than Ticketmaster for concerts? Signed up for a mailing list months ago, joined the queue early, randomly assigned a place that meant I had zero chance to buy tickets - and some of the people who succeeded are already selling them for profit 15 mins later...

Text from the PerfectIt window, asking me innocently if I had misspelled "count". I had not.

A day in the life of a freelance editor and proofreader - KN Editorial
The topic of this weekβs blog is a little more frivolous and self-indulgent than usual, but I know Iβm addicted to βday in the lifeβ type content myself, so I thought it might be interesting to at lea...
Today's blog is my take on the "a day in the life" trend. Read on to find out what a freelance editor and proofreader actually does all day, along with some potentially interesting insights into freelance life... (and the cute cat content doesn't hurt either!) #amediting #freelance

Spent the afternoon listening to agents talk about trends in publishing and what they're looking for in a pitch. Love to hear that horror is a big area of growth at the moment, especially blended with other genres. Historical horror, crime horror, SFF horror, middle-grade horror π€π

Me holding my copy of my book, black cover with green text and white and green dots in a "matrix" pattern
Extract from the book about NeodΓ€mmerung, the track that plays during Neo and Smith's final confrontation.
I'm one sale away from 300 lifetime sales β¨
My self-published The Matrix Illuminated book is a collection of interpretations, theories, a summary of referenced philosophical ideas and religions, and a lore book too.

So here's a thought. How about governments don't rip up copyright law to help out the chancers chasing this destructive mirage, but pivot to defending and supporting the creative industries which make money for their economies.

Paperback of The Matrix Illuminated, a book on the Matrix's first three movies, by me
My book The Matrix Illuminated sold 289 copies in its lifetime since 2021 (released just before Resurrections). One person read it all on Kindle Unlimited this month, and it sold another 4 copies, with 6 sold last month, particularly around the Christmas days.
Hope they enjoy it!
