On TGT tomorrow it's the anniversary the birth of F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby. His story always makes me think of The Tennyson quote "tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all"

I always stick to a 9 for solid 6 for liquid (must be touching) and 3 for gas. I find asking them to draw less produces less errors

Brilliant thank you. This is also a book I will now have to wait to find tomorrow when Iβm in work. I thought I was being really clever moving all my books into my office. Who doesnβt feel clever now π
Big Questions/Ideas.
I have managed to lose my book written by Ben Rogers and whilst I search for it any blogs on the above in science and how to teach them would be greatly appreciated.
Professor Emerita Mary M. Kennedy, who sadly died last year, has had a huge impact on my understanding of teaching, research and policy.
Iβve been revisiting her work for a project and thought Iβd share some of her gems (18), which are open access π

In my Organise Ideas presentation at #rED24 β with slides β I'll show you how you don't have to just show quotes in silence. There are always other approaches. Here's one where you have to predict the remainder of the quote.
Just use that no-longer-mentioned facility: imagination
